I've got no sound!

  • As always, check you power chords and connections first.
  • Check if your speakers are connected to the right jacks.
  • Check all you volume controls.
  • Then, check your windows volume control. Uncheck any mute options.
  • If there is still no sound, you may want to use headphones to test. This is to see if it’s a speaker problem.

Configuring Volume.

If you have a problem hearing anything out of your speakers, be it too loud or too soft, you need to check and adjust your volume settings.

  • There should be a speaker icon on the bottom right of your screen, which is your task bar. If you don’t see it, go to START > CONTROL PANEL. There should be a SOUNDS AND AUDIO DEVICES icon. Double-click on the icon.
  • On the volume screen, check the PLACE VOLUME ICON ON TASKBAR ICON. This is so that you don’t have to access the control panel every time you want to adjust the volume.
  • Click Ok.
  • Once that is done, you will see the speaker icon on your task bar. Double-click the icon.
  • There, you will see sliders for you to adjust. Uncheck all the mute options and adjust the sliders until you get the volume of sound you want.
  • If you only see one slide, go to the OPTIONS tab and lick properties.
  • On the next screen, click the PLAYBACK option. Check the boxes of the devices that you want to adjust volume.
